About Us

The Organization

Jeanie Greene Productions (JGP) has been an active independent producer of television programming for 10 years. The platform of this programming has been recognized for its educational and cultural content both nationally and internationally. The lead program of JGP is the weekly television broadcast known as Heartbeat Alaska ®. Jeanie Greene is an Inupiaq Eskimo woman who for ten years has produced weekly television programs in Anchorage Alaska. The first broadcasts were funded out of her own pocket. Over the years, individual and corporate contributors have made continuation of the programs possible. She has successfully faced and overcome obstacles of enormous proportions while making her vision for rural Alaskan communities a reality. JGP provides a unique service for rural Alaska. The love and respect the Alaska Natives demonstrate to Jeanie is reflected in the warm and joyous reception she receives in villages across Alaska. It is the only Native owned and managed Production Company being distributed statewide and beyond. This organization produces over 100 programs annually, both across America and internationally, across Canada. Please see www.aptna.ca for broadcast schedule.

The staff at Jeanie Greene Productions is a capable and professional team. This organization has 10 years experience producing weekly programming with content derived explicitly from the rural communities of Alaska. This material is then edited into the story and presented in well-known program formats such as "Heartbeat Alaska", "This Generation", and "We Win". This program material addresses issues and concerns that are important to the rural communities, and the state as a whole. The planning and production staff has outstanding professional qualifications and contacts that will enable the organization to easily obtain the stated goals and objectives.
